Spinal Tumors
Expert surgical removal of spinal cord tumors preserving neurological function and mobility.
Book a ConsultationWhat are Spinal Tumors?
Spinal tumors are abnormal growths of tissue found in or around the spinal cord and spinal column. They can be primary (originating in the spine) or metastatic (spreading from cancer elsewhere in the body).
These tumors are classified by their location: intramedullary (inside the spinal cord), intradural-extramedullary (inside the covering but outside the cord), and extradural (outside the dura in the bones).
As they grow, they can compress the spinal cord and nerve roots, leading to severe pain and paralysis. Our approach uses state-of-the-art microsurgery and neuromonitoring to safely remove the tumor while preserving maximum spinal function.

Our Treatment Approach
MRI & Biopsy
High-resolution imaging and biopsy for precise tumor classification.
Treatment Planning
Multidisciplinary approach integrating surgery, oncology, and radiology.
Microsurgical Removal
Tumor excision utilizing real-time spinal cord neuromonitoring.
Post-Surgical Care
Follow-up radiation or targeted therapies combined with rehab.
Recovery & Aftercare
Healing is supported by continuous neuromonitoring during the early recovery phase to immediately detect and address any neurological deficits.
Physical and occupational therapy starts early to help patients regain strength, balance, and independence in daily activities.
Regular imaging follow-ups are scheduled to monitor the surgical site, ensure complete tumor removal, and manage any ongoing oncological treatments.
