Traumatic Brain Injury
Emergency surgical and rehabilitative care for severe traumatic brain injuries.
Book a ConsultationWhat is Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)?
A traumatic brain injury (TBI) occurs when an external mechanical force causes brain dysfunction. This can result from violent blows, jolts to the head, or penetrating head injuries such as accidents and falls.
TBIs are classified from mild (concussions) to severe. Severe injuries can result in bruising, torn tissues, bleeding, and other physical damage to the brain that can lead to long-term complications or death.
Our trauma response team is trained to quickly assess and stabilize severe head injuries, utilizing advanced neuro-critical care and surgical interventions to reduce intracranial pressure and prevent secondary brain damage.

Loss of Consciousness
Persistent Headache
Confusion/Disorientation
Memory Problems
Nausea or Vomiting
Sensory Changes
Mood Changes
Sleep Disturbances
Our Treatment Approach
Emergency Assessment
Rapid stabilization and neurological evaluation in the trauma center.
Advanced Neuroimaging
High-resolution CT and MRI scans to assess extent of structural damage.
Surgical Intervention
Decompressive craniectomy or hematoma evacuation if required.
Neuro-Rehabilitation
Structured program focusing on cognitive and physical recovery.
Recovery & Aftercare
TBI recovery is highly individualized. Post-acute care heavily emphasizes cognitive rehabilitation to help patients regain memory, attention, and executive functions.
Physical therapy helps restore mobility and balance. We advocate for a gradual, medically-supervised return to normal activities to prevent setbacks.
Family support is a cornerstone of our TBI aftercare. We provide extensive guidance to caregivers on how to support long-term neurological and behavioral recovery.
